There are many ways to request a Certificate of Good Standing that the Department of State has provided. If you are unsure of what this is exactly, a certificate of good standing has been designed as a way of proving your entity’s legitimacy when registering a foreign entity, or requesting large business loans. It also shows that your business is up to date with all necessary filings and forms within the state of initial formation. Filing fees differ between each entity type that you may be requesting for. Corporations and LPs will be required to pay $25 (includes short and long form standings), LLCs and LLPs must pay $50 each for short form and $100 each for long form.
