How to File (Mail)

Step 1- To register your business through the mail, you must first download the Business Registration Application.

Step 2- Once downloaded, carefully submit all the information required. If you would like assistance with specific aspects of this registration application you may download the New Jersey Complete Business Registration Package to gain more information.

Step 3- Your completed application must be mailed to the address below.

Step 4- After completing Steps 1 through 3, the Public Records Filing for New Business Entities document (pages 23 and 24 or the New Jersey Complete Business Registration Packagemust now be completed. Once completed, a filing fee must be made out to the Treasurer, State of New Jersey in the form of a check or money order ($125 for all entities except domestic non-profit corporations which pay $75). Foreign entities must submit a certificate of good standing along with their filing. Have all articles mailed to the address below.

Step 5- After acceptance for your application has been received, you must then register your tax and employer information with the Division of Revenue. To do this, click the link here to access the online filing system that the state has provided. This registration will be required no later than 60 days after the registration of your business.
