Below, we’ve relayed all information needed to reserve an entity name, be it for a profit corporation, a LLC or a partnership. The filing fees are set at $15 which should be paid by check when the finished documents have been sent. Although there is an online system for some business filings, the Secretary of State hasn’t yet created one for name reservations. For this reason, you will need to download the PDF (made available on this webpage) and submit the required information through your PDF viewer. Once successfully filed, a name will be reserved for 120 days.

How to Reserve

Step 1- You can begin by downloading this PDF of the application to reserve your company name. Note that you are not able to reserve a name for non-profit corporations.

NH-Name-ReservationStep 3- When you’re finished filling out the form, you will simply need to attach to it, a check made out to the Secretary of State for the $15 filing fee. Send both items by mail to the first address below, or hand deliver them to the second address.
