It is standard practice to incorporate an operating agreement into the business structure of your LLC during the formation process. Although this is not a legally required step in organizing your entity, and this document needn’t be submitted to the Secretary of State, we still recommend strongly that you consider implementing this agreement to ameliorate the general organization of your internal affairs. When used correctly, this document will help delineate all rules and regulations under which the members of the LLC will be required to operate. In the case of a future legal dispute, this document can serve as a valuable resource as it has already relayed each initial organizer’s rights and responsibilities within the company.
