A California operating agreement, as described in CORPORATIONS CODE SECTION 17703.01-17703.04, allows the member(s) of a company to mandate the rules by which the business in question is to be run. A thorough form will also make mention of the ownership percentages/interest of each person involved in the LLC. Finally, it is wise to make mention of the registered agent, principal location of business, how often the LLC will meet in a given year, and any and all other details pertinent to the smooth sunning and legal structure of the LLC. On this page we have provided a free agreement template in both MS Word and PDF formats.
