Formation of a domestic limited liability company, under A.C.A. § 4-32-201 , is made possible both online and in using the PDF form of the Articles of Organization. The filing fee using the Secretary of State government website is $45 while the fee for PDF filers is $50.

We always recommend that a Business Entity Search be performed prior to registration to check the availability of the proposed operating name. Once a name has been verified as available, it may be reserved for 120 days by filing a Name Reservation application ($25).

How to File (Online)

Step 1- Filers must first navigate to this website and select the Articles of Organization for Domestic LLC – LL-01 link.


Step 2- Next, fill in the necessary information into the windows provided.  The fields with red asterisks indicate the required information for proceeding. This will include:

  • Selection of the filing act
  • Company name
  • Full address of the principle place of business
  • Full address and name of registered agent
  • Full address and name of officers
  • Contact information of submitter
  • Contact information of person(s) responsible for annual tax report

Step 3- Provide your signature at the bottom of the form as well as check off the box which indicates that you have understood the punishment associated with the signing of a false document. When finished, click Submit.


Step 4- You will be asked to review the information entered and on the following page be required to choose the method of payment for online filing ($45) which is either credit card, eCheck or through a pre-existing subscription to the Secretary of State website.

How to File (PDF)

Step 1- To begin, you will need to download the Articles of Organization PDF.

Step 2- Have the application open in your PDF viewer and supply the following information:

EIN– The Employer Identification Number issued by the Internal Revenue Service is used to identify a business entity for tax purposes. Many LLCs will be required to obtain an EIN following the acceptance of formation. Once obtained, your business will be eligible to hire employees, apply for loans, open bank accounts, and perform a number of other transactions. Operating Agreement– This is an agreement which establishes the managerial rights and duties of the governing members of an LLC. While not required by law in Arkansas, it is highly recommended that an agreement be completed and signed by all applicable parties. Once this document has been drafted you will have official documentation of the rules and regulations that all relevant parties must abide by.
