A Certificate of Good Standing (aka certificate of compliance) can be obtained if the company is registered as a legal entity, if it is not suspended or in default, and if it has filed all necessary reports to the Secretary of State. This certificate is used as proof of existence and compliance to Arkansas state business requirements and can be used for the acquisition of loans, the renewal of business licenses or for a number of other tax and business purposes. A fee of $25 will be charged which can be paid online.

How to File

Step 1- Search for the business whose certificate you’d like to purchase by using the Business Entity Search function on the Secretary of State website. You can search using the corporate/fictitious name, registered agent’s information or by the filing #.
